The Harden Hawks went down to Crookwell in their most recent match at Crookwell with only 15 players available for the tussle with the Green Devils. Harden Coach G said, “We were underpowered, we went with 15 guys and had an injury so we were down to one on the bench. It was always going to be a tough task with that amount of players. Another Picker played in Mick, and he is a quality footballer it made it pretty hard.

Our other Front Rower Holmsy had the flu but he is fighting fit again now” The Hawks are looking to get some players back and look to be bolstering their side for this weekend’s match against Boorowa. Michael West and Jamie Cooper will return and the Hawks will be unleashing a big signing in the form of former Premiership winning forward Siope Niata. G said, “He is still looking fit and keeping up with all the boys, he will definitely add to us.” The Hawks will be taking on 4th position from their 3rd position on the ladder and G is hopeful that once everyone is back on the paddock the Hawks will continue to improve. He said, “This is the last game of the round and we have lost 2 games. At the start of the season we were struggling to get numbers and we are sitting top 4 so pretty happy at this stage.”

The U16s Harden/Boorowa side will be taking on the Rovers on Friday night under lights with a 6:30pm kick-off set for McLean Oval. Three matches are set down for the Boorowa Showground for Saturday with the u19s at 11:20am, Hawkettes at 12:45pm and the Hawks set for 2:00pm.
