James McDougall, Jeff Brown, Kai Steele, Beau Abnett, James Woodhead & Philip Woodhead. Harden Hornets Cricket Club held its annual presentation night at the Harden Country Club on Friday night.
Club President, Ross Turner, delivered a rousing speech on the success of the club this year and highlighted that the achievements were about what had been achieved compared to flags won. In particular he made mention of the three junior players who virtually played every game and made valuable contributions every week. He went on to also thank the Committee who were able to achieve funding for the Bob Spackman scoreboard, wicket covers and practice bowling machine. These items have improved the enjoyment of the game by all. Special mentions were also made to the Team Scorer Michelle Woodhead for undertaking a weekly thankless task, and getting the scores mostly correct, and the behind the scenes contributions by Philip Woodhead. He ended by thanking the Club’s major sponsor the Harden Country Club and the Kruger Trust for additional funding to cover over-runs for the construction and installation of the scoreboard.
