Joie Whybrow diving over in the southern end of McLean Oval to score for Group 9 in 2017.
Joie Whybrow’s Rugby League career continues to rise, with the U15 Hawks player continuing up the representative ladder. Joie is competing in just his third year in the code and is directing his local side around the paddock from the Five Eight position.
Harden have only lost one match this season. Joie made Group 9 with fellow Harden lad and good friend James Collins. James is known for his speed around the field and is very hard to catch in the local touch football competition. Joie has continued on through the ranks and has now gone on to make the Southern NSW Country side. Joie trailed at Wagga a fortnight ago playing for the Western side.
He now joins Jake Hay from Gundagai in the Southern side. Joie said he thinks the coach will be playing him in the Centres. He is already lifting 85 kilograms on the benchpress with ease and looks set to turn into a robust player in the vein of his family members. This weekend Joie will take part in matches at Penrith where he will be hoping to gain selection in the NSW side, and possibly the Australian Schoolboy side. He said it would be great to get a jersey. “I follow Aidan Sezer in the NRL, I like the way he plays along with Jordan Rapana and I go for the Raiders.”
