The fire which burnt Mt. Bobbara yesterday afternoon is being investigated by the Rural Fire Service and Police.
What sparked the incident is yet to be determined.
The Galong tanker made first contact with the Rural Fire Service before a triple OOO call came through.
20 tankers attended the scene and were controlling the fire by 4pm.
The fire was contained by 4am Thursday morning through back burning and bull dozers working through the night.
Mopping up continued today with 24 crew and six trucks who attended to smouldering logs.
A helicopter with a 900 litre bucket will continue working through today whilst a thermal imaging camera will be used to check for hot spots this evening.
No lives or major infrastructure were lost.
