Barry and Kerry Wooldridge have recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Their story is quite remarkable in that they met on the last night of a cruise they had both taken. The last night was also New Years’ Eve. Barry was to have said “It was the luckiest day of my life.” Not only did they usher in the New Year they also began their new life together. They married on the last day of the school term in Cowra in weather similar to what we have been experiencing recently. Both teachers, they have been very involved in education in the twin towns for many years. They have three children, Andrew, Simon and Sophia and 6 grandchildren. They celebrated their anniversary quietly but expected to get together with the family over the festive season. Congratulations!.
