Billy-Jo Johnson, Simon Pavitt, Brian Dunn, Wal Bradford and Barry McCormack from the Harden-Murrumburrah Light Horse Troop pictured holding a flag brought back by former Cootamundra Light Horse Troop member and Simon’s Uncle, Dr Ian Florance.
Dr Florance was a P.O.W. in Changi for 3 years and the flag pictured was with him in the camp. He was a medic in the Army and went on to qualify as a Doctor, retiring only 15 years before his death in 2009.
Neill Street was transfromed last week with Anzac themed flags adorning the median strip flag poles, in anticpiation of Anzac day on Friday.
