It was a busy night for emergency services who attended the Coolac Service Station on Tuesday night (Sep 6) where a fire broke out destroying the main building.

Police are investigating the inferno which destroyed the Mobil petrol station off the Hume Highway.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The blaze broke out at the Coolac business, about 20 kilometres north of Gundagai, just after 10pm and it ran riot from there.

Up to 23 trucks were on the scene over the course of the fire fighting duties.

Some crews were still on the scene monitoring the wreckage on Wednesday.

NSW Police has established a crime scene and started an investigation into the incident.

Coota brigades were assisted by multiple RFS Brigades from Coolac, Gundagai, Jugiong, Muttama and Gobarralong as well as NSW Fire and Rescue teams from Coota, Gundagai, Turvey Park Aerial Platform, Hazmat from Wagga and the Rehab van from Harden.

The Fire and Rescue NSW Drone was also used to best gauge where to fight the fire by  using its aerial perspective.
