Jeremy with his trailer ready to serve Harden Murrumburrah and surrounds.

Jeremy Pearsall was born and raised in Harden and has now launched his business; Pearsall’s Auto Electrical, hoping to give back to the town in which he has created memories and the town in which the 32-year-old hopes his three boys; Holden, Roman and Talon can do the same.

Being an auto electrician has been a passion of Jeremy’s since he left school, unfortunately for Jeremy it was a difficult profession to get into, not just in Harden but in surrounding towns as well.

With no businesses looking to hire an apprentice, Jeremy put it on the back burner carrying the belief that if he could get any job it would give him the experience to transition into his preferred occupation as an auto electrician.

It was during his time working at IGA in Harden; after he had worked four years there, when he realised that he could’ve completed his apprenticeship.

In 2017 Jeremy decided to once again look for an apprenticeship in his preferred field, and this time he was rewarded for all his searching with an opportunity in Young to become a mature- aged apprentice.

Jeremy is excited to bring his new trade back to his hometown.

“12 months ago I finished my apprenticeship in Young, then for the past 12 months I’ve spent working for my previous employer as a tradesman, and now I believe it’s time to bring that back to Harden and fill the gap that John Robinson has left,” he said.

“I’ve always had the passion, but the end goal was always to turn that strong passion into a profession and take that professional step, so it’s a relief to finally accomplish that.

“Since I started working back here at the beginning of June it has been great, I wasn’t sure how I’d be received not necessarily as the new guy but as the new business in town. I was surprised by how great the businesses have been sup- porting me and welcoming me in with open arms.

“I get the impression from businesses that they’re happy for me to take the load off them because they were mechanics or a different profession having to work outside their occupation and now they get to pass that on to me.”

Jeremy is offering the town plenty of things that he can fix and take a look at.

“We fix driving lights, we can set vehicles up for towing a caravan, dual batteries for camping or anything like that. We can do solar stuff as well for a caravan or a horse float that can take solar,” he said.
