Now that the Harden/Boorowa Bushhawks are sitting clear at the top of the ladder, they have become the hunted and Temora definitely turned up keen for Bushhawk blood.

Just 3 minutes into the game Harden’s Centre Jesse Thorpe showed his power and went crashing through Temora’s defensive line to score directly under the uprights giving Jayden Steele an easy conversion.

Temora fought back like they had something to prove and the game quickly swung their way with 3 consecutive tries to finish off the first half of footy 14-6 not to the home-side advantage.

The Bushhawks received some stern healthy words of encouragement from their coaching team during the break and came out the second half eager to show why they are in the top spot.

Five eight Jayden Steele’s short kickoff displayed a  touch of magic seeing him regather the ball and score, followed by an equally impressive grubber kick to himself by halfback Jessy Fisher who was able to convert his try just 10mtrs from the sideline.

This exciting play saw parents on their feet, Bushhawks back in front but they weren’t finished yet… 3 more tries quickly followed thanks to Jackson Karchinsky and Phillip Gordon taking some big front-row hit-ups putting the elevated home side in some good field position.

A strong defensive effort from the likes of Alex Craig, Daniel Minehan and Lewis Shea kept Temora scoreless in the second half until the final minute where Temora’s top try-scorer Nate Breust was able to get one past them leaving the final score 36-18 and Bushhawks keeping hold of their undefeated season status.
