Emcee Hugo Sachs with Citizen of the Year Grahame Taylor and Ambassador Sonia Gandhi. Last Thursday Grahame Taylor was recognised as Harden’s Citizen of the Year.

Grahame has touched many Harden families over his 42 years as a Vet both with his practice and his caring demeanour.

The Times has delved into Grahame Taylor’s achievements and as he was one of our original local legends from when our paper first commenced we’ve provided the narrative to the legend that is Grahame Taylor.

Grahame was born in Wollongong in between his two brothers to parents Robert and Leila Taylor.

Grahame and his brothers Robert and John all attended Wollongong primary schools and then Hurlstone Agricultural College in Glenfield for their secondary studies.

Grahame was studying Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland when he was called up for national service. After graduation he did basic training at Singleton and officer training at Scheyville, graduating as a 2nd Lieutenant.
