The Harden Worhawks are looking for a new head-coach for the 2023 Katrina Fanning Shield season.
The side was previously led by David and Mellissa Ings who are now escaping to the warmer weather up north.
The Worhawks are coming off their best season in the team’s history winning the minor Grand Final in the competition, after finishing 8th the ladies beat the UC Stars and South Coast United and won their first bit of silverware as a team.
The Worhawks have plenty of talent amongst their ranks with Abbie Grant, Chloe Wade, Hunter Ings and Ua Ravu outlining just some of the young talent on the Worhawks roster.
Next year will mark the fifth year the Worhawks have participated in the Katrina Fanning Shield and after a big Grand Final win hopes are high amongst the town that the ladies will continue to improve and climb the Katrina Fanning Shield Ladder.
As for the future coach, there’s no doubt they will have big shoes to fill given how much David and Mellissa have contributed to the team.
Harden Rugby League have been consistent in finding quality new coaches to fill roles, this time should be no different.
The ladies are sure to be a hot prospect for coaches, hosting so much talent both young and experienced.
The Worhawks will continue to grow and get better as seasons go on, the ladies have plenty of energy and proved towards the backend of last season they can be competitive against upper-echelon teams in the Katrina Fanning Shield.
The team continues to build upon its foundations as they look forward to improving on what was a good season this year and hopefully can enjoy an even better one next year.
