Allan Goodchild with Talbot Bowden and a ride on mower, batteries for their electric range and some of their push mowers.

As of four months ago, TB Mowers opened up on Albury Street in Murrumburrah, selling all sorts of mowing goods. In what is a wonderland of garden supplies, the shop has found success in its early days in the town’s main strip.

Allan Goodchild, who runs the shop alongside owner Talbot Bowden, lists off a taste of what is on offer in the shop. “We do a full range of new mowers, new chainsaws and whipper snippers. We also do a range of second-hand goods, we service lawn mowers, even quad bikes and motorbikes,” he said. “We do a full range of parts, blades, air cleaners, oil filters. We have service available for everything. “All servicing is done in the shop; you buy a new mower and you can come back and service it here.”

The shop was born in a Picton backyard until it outgrew the site and the family moved to Harden 4 years ago. TB Mowers in Murrumburrah was born. Talbot has 15 years experience in the industry and has brought his skill-set to the Twin Towns. TB Mowers loves the challenge of the business, saying there’s something new that comes through the door every day with a new challenge and a new way to fix it up.

“We start off with a base mower from about $380, ranging all the way up to self-propelled mowers, which are between $1,200 and $1,400.” Sitting at the convenient location on Albury Street next to the Courthouse, anyone can walk in with a bit of cash and leave with a new mower, chainsaw, whipper snipper or gardening tool that can be maintained in the same place in the future. Drop in and have a look.
