Can Assist received a cheque for 4188.49 from from Harden Murrumburrah Junior League and Boorowa Junior League.
Carol Barker said, “We were absolutely blown away after being presented with this amazing cheque.
What a fabulous community we live in when you have the junior members of our community realise the need and importance of our organisation and get right behind fundraising for us.
The hard work and dedication from your committee’s and helpers to enable days like this is incredible.
Congratulations and from the bottom of our hearts thank you.”
It’s hard to believe we are in October and our AGM is to be held on Wednesday 5th October at the Trinity Centre 7pm.
All positions are vacant and we are really looking for a new committee to continue the wonderful work that has been done this year.
If you are a financial member, please consider a position. We are happy for any position to have an assistant if you are feeling you don’t want to take the responsibility on your own. In the last financial year, we have assisted 40 local families.
Our first meeting after our annual hibernation was held on Wednesday 7th September with a small attendance.
The Harden Show was held on Saturday 10th September where we had the bar.
The weather wasn’t favourable but we were happy with the outcome.
A final figure will be available at the AGM. Mandy Sachs also donated a beautiful Alpaca poncho to raffle – Barry Alcorn was the lucky winner who drew his own ticket out.
Wife Julie was very quick to put it on and was very pleased with his win.
Thank you, Mandy, for your generous donation, we were all hoping to win it.
Secretary Sonia has done a huge job in organising the bar and applying for the license, thank you Sonia.
Harden Automotive donated a Gernie and Bunnings gift voucher for a Father’s Day raffle, which was won by Ian West.
Thank you, Paul and Sonia for your generous donation.
Last Saturday Carol, Sonia and Melissa accepted a cheque for $4,188 from Harden Murrumburrah Junior Rugby League Club and Boorowa Junior League from their recent fundraising day.
They were thrilled to receive this wonderful donation.

A reminder a date to put on your social calendar is Saturday February 18th for our next major fundraiser. This will be a fantastic night once again.
We have dates for raffles coming up so if you are at all able to assist on 24th & 26th November and 8th & 10th December we would be very pleased to hear from you.
Please call Carol on 0433 803 794 to let her know – she will be very pleased to hear from you.
With all our fundraising we need our volunteers to assist in a lot of ways; helping set up and pack up, selling a raffle ticket, passing the word around and many various ways – every little bit of help is very much appreciated.
As is the support we receive from the Community simply by buying a raffle ticket helps your community – Thank you so much.
