The Potts/Pearsall Family is preparing to participate in this year’s City2Surf on Sunday August 14, raising money for families who experience pregnancy and infant loss. All funds they raise will be donated to the Bears of Hope charity, an organisation that supports families through one of the most devastating experiences possible.

It’s a cause that is close to the family’s heart with Paige and Corey having tragically lost two babies in the past 12-months.

Paige says that the support offered by Bears of Hope with babies Chester and Maeve was instrumental in helping her and her family navigate the trauma.

‘They provided a cuddle cot which gives you valuable time and memories with your baby, as well as counselling afterwards,’ Paige said.

Paige said her experience was made significantly more bearable because of the support offered by a range of local health professionals.

‘I’d really like to thank Dr Scholtz and Dr Tess of Coota Medical Centre, and Dr Larcombe and the midwives of Young Hospital. Daniel and Stacey Patterson of Patterson Brothers were also incredibly supportive.’
