Jack, Jesse and Ben Glover.
The weekend saw some wild and wooly weather at Royal Harden but that didn’t stop the fields from heading out into the conditions to try their luck for some silverware.
This year’s clubs champs has been a hard slog with some pretty high scores posted.
Could be the weather or the beers. No one knows. In A grade our club champ again was Ben Glover.
Ben has consistently been the one to beat over the past decade and a bit and he showed who is boss once again.
Some comments were made that maybe it was the hand warmers that helped him get over the line.
He must be getting old! 2nd place in A grade gross was Kevin Hoppe and 3rd was Mat Peisley.
Well done to these three who continuously show up. B grade and we have had a new champion crowned.
David Solah has taken the chocolates in what has been a solid year in the winner’s podium for him.
2nd place Herb Manwaring and 3rd place Brodie Schofield. Brodie has also taken the Jnr Champion this year.
He will be someone to watch in coming years. To our ladies and credit to them for battling the conditions, we had Maryanne Fitzgerald take out the ladies program.
Well done to her as she has been a consistent in computing all year.
2nd place was Eve Shea and Jackie Solah filling up the podium on 3rd.
The Ness Flannery Salver for best nett score in the ladies this year went to Jackie Solah.
Jackie is also having a good year alongside husband Dave on the podium. 2nd place was Maryanne Fitzgerald and 3rd place Eve Shea.
Congratulations Ladies!
The Oldest trophy in town for overall best Nett trophy this year has awarded consistency and congratulations to Kevin Hoppe for taking this one out. After last year’s winner, the new rule with said trophy is to have a drink from the cup!
2nd place in overall nett was Mat Peisley and tied 3rd was Chad Gilmour and Ben Glover.
Well done gents.
With the warmer weather approaching us in the coming months and the course looking as good as it is we are looking forward to seeing all golfers return.
With the upcoming Australian 2 man Ambrose and the newly formed Ronnie Fuller Memorial Day we are sure to have some great days lined up.
Dust off the sticks and come and join in. After all, a bad days golf is better than a good day’s work.
Keep them straight.
