Last Saturday, the Harden Worhawks travelled down to Canberra to face the UC Stars at Raiders Belconnen.
Going into the match the Stars had won one from three games, whilst the Worhawks had not won a game to this point of the season.
Unfortunately their losing trend would continue going down to the Stars 14-8. Speaking to coach David Ings he was disappointed in the result.
“A few of the girls were sick up until the game, and we weren’t one hundred percent sure they’d play. That’s no excuse though we know if we played like they did at the start of the year we could have won that game,”
“We’re coming to the end of a long road trip, if we can replicate our performance against Batemans Bay a fortnight ago we’re definitely a good chance against the Raiders this week.”
The Worhawks will travel back to Canberra this week to play against the Boomanulla Raiders.
Both teams will look to get their first win of the season with the Raiders also yet to claim two points so far this season.
Our girls will hopefully have the fortune of good health this week, and with the better performances they’ve displayed this season.
There is plenty of faith around the club that they’ll turn their season around and start collecting some wins.
So if you’ve got nothing better to do this Saturday, why not travel down to Boomunalla and get behind our ladies!
