Aussie classic, Home and Away, have been spotted at Iandra Castle in Young, filming the new season of the show.
It was called a secret location, but the Riverina knows the location is Iandra Castle.
It’s not often that a big Sydney production comes down to us for filming opportunities, but Young’s historic castle has caught the eyes of producers.
The hit TV soap opera had shown fans a glimpse of the castle, calling it a secret location that left many in Sydney guessing where.
It’s not yet known why the crew have come down to film in Young from their usual filming place at Palm Beach and the Eveleigh Studio, though the locals welcome the spotlight.
Fans have been excited for the new season ever since Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers, posted Instagram photos captioned “Maz goes to the country,” picturing her new costume for the upcoming season.
Fans have been all over any new piece of info they can get their hands on, digging up anything they can find about where the new cast are or what may be happening.
Ada Nicodemou, who plays Leah Patterson, teased fans after posting more photos of upcoming set pieces and character looks on her Instagram.
These photos also included her castmates Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart), Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart) and Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts).
The photos had captions that teased the next location, as many Sydney viewers were left clueless.
Some more amusing comments were suggestions they were in a church for a wedding.
It created a fan frenzy where many have come up with their own made up storylines, guessing what they’re doing in such a place including a funeral for a character that wasn’t even dead in the show.
A few eagle eyed viewers did pick up on the location being Iandra Castle but they were unsure. Symons would make it obvious by posting the “Welcome to Young” sign on Instagram.
The episodes are set to begin airing later this year.
