The Harden Hawkettes have been so dominant over the past two seasons that when car salesmen say what their most popular demand when selling cars is, that the person wants the closest thing to Harden Hawkettes.
A well oiled machine.
The have a got a current for and against of +282 scoring a staggering 294 points and conceding as little as 12 points throughout the first seven rounds.
Georgia and Clare Smith are first and second in top try-scorers this season, Georgia having 21 and Clare just behind with 18.
The girls are plenty ahead of third, North Canberra Bears star Hayley Kemp, who still has a very impressive 11 so far this season.
The Hawkettes also have the top three point scorers in the season which is a given seeing how they’re averaging an absurd 42 points a game.
Emma James and Georgia Smith have 84 points each and Clare Smith is a Hat-Trick away from them on 72.
All three of them are also top three in Best and Fairest voting with Emma James on 14 points, Georgia Smith on 8 points and Clare Smith on 7 points.
The Girls have the bye week this week and in going to speak to the bye week the Times found out it had booked a flight to Argentina and has forfeited vs the Hawkettes.
They’re red hot at the moment and are showing no sign of slowing down winning 60-0 against Gunning last Saturday.
An unbeaten season seems inevitable and though all of the girls would be too humble to admit it they seem mountains above the competition.
The reality is, if the girls were to be defeated it would be straight out of mythological culture because our ladies truly are a Goliath amongst Davids in a purple patch that is going across seasons not weeks.
