The Hawkettes have once again torn up the field against the Crookwell She Devils last Saturday, keeping up their undefeated streak and proving themselves at the top of the league tag food chain. The girls came out with a 54-4 win that only disap
pointed the girls because it wasn’t clean enough, showing off their immense skill hasn’t yet hit its ceiling.
The game saw some bloody good tries from Georgia and Clare Smith who may as well set camp up on the tryline with how often they passed it. The game saw a good spread of tries throughout the team with Jasmin
Chesworth and Maddison Douglass also scoring some terrific points to add to the scoreboard. The top scorer positions still went to the Smith sisters including a strong three in a row from the sisters with Clare scoring two tries be- fore Georgia put the ball down to close the game.
Jason Pollard, the coach of the Hawkettes, is still
stunned by the Hawkettes consistent victories, “It was the best everyone together as a team has played so far this season. Our young player Jasmine Chesworth was terrific in backing up all day and scoring a try. Jasmin has been a real good acquisition to the Hawkettes squad and Eliza Butt is really taking to the dummy halve roll well, gaining confidence every week. Marylou Minehan, Maddie Douglas and the Smith girls were at the outstanding best.”
“Next week we take on the Bears who are also unde- feated, so the Hawkettes are looking forward to the challenge.”
“Emma James was also very good with some outstanding passing and getting the team rolling.”
