Game One, Storm vs Sea Eagles. Col’s Tip, Storm by 8.

Melbourne have struggled the past two weeks without their key men. Harry Grant who’s meant to be some sort of generational talent struggled playing halfback with coach Craig Bellamy even coming out saying it was a mistake to play him there.I don’t know when Jahrome Hughes or Ryan Papenhuyzen are back and I’m too old to use the internet to find out. Watching the Sea Eagles game last week however, I observed that Tom Trbojevic suffered a serious arm injury, then I heard on the wireless that he’s out for the season. With that in mind I’ll have to back Bellyache’s boys in this one.

Game Two, Panthers vs Cowboys. Col’s Tip, Cowboys by 2.

Now this has upset all over it. Penrith will begin selecting more passive sides as State of Origin comes around whilst the Cows are the hottest team in the comp right now, which as I might remind you I did predict at the start of the season. The Hammer and Reuben Cotter will come into the starting lineup for the Cows with injuries to stars Jason Taumalolo and Kyle Feldt, but I actually think the inclusion of the Hammer into the backline benefits the Cows. He’ll play a big role on 5th tackle especially and it would not be surprising if he is the top “metre eater” of the day. Expect Penrith to be classy but a Townsend masterclass wins the Cows yet another game.

Game Three, Broncos vs Titans. Col’s Tip, Titans by 10.

Call me biased, I really don’t care. I’m the one making 7 figures for my elite footballing opinion whilst you sit at home like a peasant. Back to the footy where last week we saw the Broncos win their 5th game in a row. Sure that’s hot form but I see it as they’re due a loss and who better to hand it to them than their “little brother”.

Game Four, Warriors vs Knights. Col’s Tip, Warriors by 2.

Another masterful Col Vorren prediction was the Knights to be awful this season. But I must admit I didn’t see them being this bad, and even though the Warriors are in horrid form, the Knights travelling up to Queensland and winning I just can’t see.

Game Five, Rabbitohs vs Tigers. Col’s Tip Rabbitohs 13+.

In the same way the Broncos are due a loss the Bunnies are due a big win. The Tigers have looked average the last few weeks though, they are coming off a good win against the Bulldogs, can’t see them getting it done against the Bunnies.

Game Six, Sharks vs Roosters. Col’s Tip, Sharks by 10.

Interesting to see the Sharks are heavily favoured in this match. Though I’m backing them here it’s far from a confident one. Sharks nearly blew it last week and the Roosters had a tough task against the Panthers. I’ll take the Sharks given they’re at home.

Game Seven, Dragons vs Bulldogs. Col’s Tip, Dragons 13+.

The Dogs are in turmoil that much is clear, and until they win another game I won’t be tipping them. The Dragons are better by a big stretch. End of story.

Game Eight, Raiders vs Eels. Raiders by 1.

Parramatta were handed that game last week and still nearly blew it. The Raiders are in good form and with the Viking clap sure to be ringing loud around GIO stadium I’m sure they’re capable of pulling off this upset.

Editor’s Note: Eels by at least 12.

Col’s Multi of the Week. Dragons -4.5, Manly +16.5 and Raiders +6.5 paying $6.60. Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend and remember, you’re always gambling responsibly when gambling with Col Vorren.
