5/8 in a tough, tough week. Is the Vozza back? I don’t know if I’d go that far but I think I can build momentum from here and go on to conquer the world.
I’ve had aspirations of that since 1939 when a young Austrian man attempted to do the same thing I’m doing now and establish world dominance. I’m of course referring to the Austrian composer Arnold Schoenberg who’s best work was done in 1939-45 where his music took over France, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands. Perhaps what he’s most known for however is his work in Poland, that or his iconic moustache.
Point being I want to be like Arnie and if I’m not to get my tips done how will you know. Seeing now we’ve done our history lesson for the day, let’s get in to it!
Game One: Rabbitohs vs Broncos. Col’s Tip, Bunnies 13+ Though I see where the Bookies are coming from backing the Broncos, I can’t see them being right. Sorry but with this South Sydney team’s forward pack playing how they are, Souths being at home and looking for revenge. No other option for me other than Bunnies to win big.
Game Two: Raiders vs Bulldogs. Col’s Tip, Raiders 13+ What a great win for the Doggies last week. Whilst I don’t think that Trent Barrett is the man for the job, his passion he showed last week was amazing. You can tell he loves his job and wants to win. Unfortunately the Raiders are due a big win, and playing in front of their fans at GIO in a game the fans think they’ll win. I simply think that’ll overwhelm the Dogs.
Game Three: Panthers vs Eels. Col’s Tip, Eels by 2 Yep, I haven’t tipped the Eels all year it seems and I’m backing them against a lot of people’s best team in the comp. I’m backing them off the assumption that Jake Arthur is dropped because I don’t think that young man is ready for First Grade yet, if he was in Wombat in 69 I don’t think he starts over Stumpy Jones, and they go on about the Eels forward pack but none of them get in my Wombat team over either Temple Hewson or Myself. God big Temp had a hit up in him only problem was every hit up he had he thought I owed him a long neck. What a forward he was though, though he’s gone to god now, I know he’d be getting served a long neck and a mean old Cheese and Bacon pie from the Bakery in Queanbeyan from an Angel right now. God help which ever Angel got stuck Temps duty! Back to the NRL and I don’t think I’ve seen the Panthers as shaky as last week though they were far from impressive. I think Parra will bounce back and shock Penrith.
Game Four: Manly vs Tigers. Col’s Tip, Sea Eagles 13+ Not too much to say here, Manly were excellent even with 12 men for 70 minutes last week and Tigers were awful. All that built up momentum they had is dead now and only way to bet here is Manly 13+.
Game Five: Roosters vs Titans. Col’s Tip, Titans by 6 Though it proved the right decision tipping against the Titans last week made me week in the knees, either that all the 12 tinnies I knocked down at the Wombat Tav before embarking on the long walk home to Binalong Street. Point is I don’t want that feeling of guilt in my belly again so I’ll back the mighty Titans to upset the Roosters.
Game Six: Cowboys vs Knights. Col’s Tip, Cowboys by 12 The Knights have been simply woeful recently whilst the Cowboys are whipping their opponents like they’re horses down the final stretch at Randwick. Though I think the Knights will show major improvement here, I’ve been stressing my love for the Cows all year and what’s the point of hopping off them now? Much like my old Mrs, I’m gonna stick with riding the Cowboys in this one.
Game Seven: Storm vs Dragons. Col’s Tip, Storm 13+ In my opinion the best team in the Comp right now are playing host against bottom eight opposition. Only one result that can happen here and that’s a Melbourne hiding against the poor old Dragons.
Game Eight: Sharks vs Warriors. Col’s Tip, Sharks 13+ Cronulla will be desperate to bounce back after an embarrassing loss last week, whilst the Warriors managed a great escape against the Raiders. For me the Sharks win this one easily and show how much class they have at home against the Warriors.
Here’s Col’s Tip of the Week before I knock off. Storm, Sharks both 13+ and Kyle Feldt Anytime Try-Scorer. Coming in at $5.80 Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend and remember. You’re always gambling responsibly when gambling with Col Vorren.
