Bunyip pre-school celebrated their annual Christmas fun day, ‘Party in the Park,’ last Wednesday, where the children were surprised with a special visit from Santa.

Director of the centre, Sarah James, said that she was happy that the event could go ahead this year, after two years of disruption due to Coronavirus.

“It was really the first time since COVID started that we have been able to get everyone together,” she said.“

It was a great night, especially since we couldn’t hold the celebration last year.”

Santa arrived at the event in a fire truck and presented each child from the centre with a book.

The children all lined up patiently in their class groups to receive their special Christmas gifts.

“The kids also did a combined group performance, where they sang songs to their parents and teachers,” Sarah explained.

“It was a great to catch up with families, and the children also had a great time.”
