Whether you like them fried, scrambled, poached or soft-boiled, eggs are a great way to start National Egg Day says NSW Farmers Egg Committee Chair Brett Langfield.
Friday, October 8 marks National Egg Day, and NSW Farmers will be encouraging everyone to crack an egg or two.
“The average Australian consumes 246 eggs each year, as a highly nutritious, protein-packed breakfast treat or whisked up and baked into a delicious pavlova,” Mr Langfield said.
“Here in NSW we have almost six million layers, producing 29 per cent of Australia’s eggs.
“Not only are they a great brekky, fantastic on a burger or even with toast soldiers as an easy dinner, they’re also contributing $259 million to our state economy.”
So how will you enjoy your eggs on National Egg Day?
