No new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
Further investigations into exposure sites in West Wyalong, Hay and Tooleybuc linked to a positive case of COVID-19 have resulted in identification of some close contacts.
CLOSE CONTACTS – WYALONG
Anyone who ate in the Coolabah Café at Coles Express, Wyalong between 7.00pm and 7:45pm on 26 August 2021 is now considered a close contact and must get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.
CASUAL CONTACTS – WYALONG, HAY AND TOOLEYBUC
Anyone who attended any of the venues listed on the specified dates and times are casual contacts and must get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received:
SEWAGE DETECTION
Follow up sewage testing at Temora has again detected fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19.
These detections are a concern as there are no known cases in this area.
Everyone in Temora, or who has recently travelled to Temora, is urged to monitor for the onset of symptoms, and if they appear, to immediately be tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Sewage testing is also currently undertaken weekly at Wagga, Albury, Griffith, West Wyalong, Lake Cargelligo, Gundagai and Moama.
There have been no detections in these areas. Testing is available daily at the Temora Hospital from 10.00 am – 2.00 pm. Please call ahead on 6980 0200.
