Today New South Wales recorded 1,542 cases and 9 deaths, all had underlying health conditions, 3 were vaccinated, 3 had one dose of the vaccine and 3 were unvaccinated.

This is a new daily case record in Australia.

Western New South Wales saw 28 cases, Dubbo had 18 cases, Mid Western 6, Bourke 3 and Blayney 1.

Deputy Premier John Barilaro said that any unvaccinated residents of regions that will leave lockdown at 12:01am Saturday will lose their freedoms when the state opens at 70 per cent double dose.

He is urging the regions coming out of lockdown to keep getting vaccinated.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that the daily press conferences will stop from Monday.

NSW Health Staff will deliver video updates each day with politicians “intermittently hold press conferences as required.”

There are no active cases of COVID-19 in the Hilltops Council or Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council.

Please follow the current Public Health Orders and stay at home unless you have a reasonable excuse to leave.

A reasonable excuse is if you need to:

  • obtain food or other goods and services locally
  • leave home to go to work if, you cannot reasonably work from home and the business is allowed to be open
  • leave home for education if it is not possible to do it at home
  • exercise and take outdoor recreation within your local government area or, if you need to cross into another local government area, stay within 5km of your home
  • go out for medical or caring reasons, including obtaining a COVID-19 vaccination.
