Congratulations are in order for Bunyip Preschool who recently achieved compliance with the Caring For Children guidelines that ensure children in their care are receiving the healthiest choices while in their care.
New cook, Cheryl Minehan recently undertook the Caring for Children training offered through the Murrumbidgee Local Health District and adapted the services menu to meet the guidelines.
The new menu now meets the gold standard for all the food groups that are recommended for developing children through adequate iron and red meats, protein sources as well as fruit and vegetable serves and diary and carbohydrates.
In addition the menu is also very popular and tasty Director at the Preschool, Sarah James is very pleased to be offering this high quality healthy menu for all the families who attend her service.

Local Health Promotion Officer and representative for the Munch and Move Program run through MLHD, Barb Manwaring has also congratulated the service on achieving this goal.

This program which operates through NSW Health and has been designed to encourage best practice in Physical activity and Nutrition in the early childhood centres setting.
