Ladies Bowls
30 women braved the freezing conditions at the Harden Bowling Club on Saturday to contest the ‘Calloway Richards Memorial Trophy’
Great competition and catch -up enjoyed over some hot soup by all.
Overall Trophy Winners were Young Team 1. Sheila Traynor, Judy Watson and Margaret Galley on 27 Points and Young Team 2. Anne Gardner, Elsie Hines and Margo Parker on 38 Points. Congratulations Young Teams on some great bowling and sportsmanship.
2nd Place Cootamundra Country Club, 3rd place Harden, 4th Place Cootamundra Ex Services and 5th place Grenfell. Thank you to Umpire of the Day, Geoff DeBritt and everyone for making the day a success and supporters who braved the cold, it was much appreciated.
A big shout out to our own David Walker providing some much enjoyed hot soup and others who provided slices and desert.
Reminder that Harden Ladies Singles & Pairs Championships are on the board and close 20th August, must be a financial member.

Mens Bowls
The Club Men’s Pairs continued on Sunday.
Sunday Morning Ben and Jack Glover defeated Bill Maroney and Chris Clark 28-16.
Ben and Jack continued in the evening and defeated Cary Peters and Warwick Prosser 24-18 and advanced to the minor final to play on Sunday.
Michael Patterson and Todd Brown had a good win over John Balcomb and Ged Davis 27-14 and now take on Ben and Jack Glover in the minor final.
Major semi final saw Brian Madden and Tom Glover defeated Tom Hawkins and Brian Gibson 26-13.
Terry Ricketts and Matt Peisley defeated Craig Phillis and Chris Hocking 20-12.
