Since the silo mural painted by Heesco reached its completion early this year Harden-Murrumburrah has seen an influx of tourists to the town.
Hilltops Tourism and Events Manager, Brent Randall said there has been a 25 percent increase in visitors to the Harden Murrumburrah Visitor Information Centre.
“A lot of the visitors appear to be coming from all over the state as well as interstate.” Brent said.
The Visitors Centre have noticed a “mass increase” in the amount of people who are now following the Silo Art Trail.
With the silos being painted the Visitor Centre is seeing all different generations come into town.
Brent believes that once the ‘Bill The Bastard’ Statue is unveiled it will bring more tourists to the town as well.
“There has been so many people wanting to see it (the statue) out on his patch. A number of people were disappointed that they could only see it through the glass.” Brent said.
Numbers of travellers have now risen after the restrictions from pandemic have been eased with Brent believing that towns around the region are now starting to get back to some normality.
“A lot of the travellers are short day trippers and a lot are staying for several days.”
There has also been increased visitation at events held at Showgrounds around the region and also local caravan parks.
