One of the Twin Town’s favourite eateries will be re opening its doors at the end of next month.
With the fire in the Bowling Club Kitchen, the closure of Twin Town Pizza and the brief closure of the Terracotta Restaurant, other food outlets were placed under pressure and have been doing their best to fill the void over the last few months.
Claudia Atallah said, “We hope to open the end of next month but I’m not entirely sure of the date yet. We are looking around about the 26th of May.”
The interest on Facebook has been enormous since the post went up on Sunday night announcing the much loved store would be re opening. Claudia said, “We are really excited with the response. We will be coming together with Carl and the shop will be a domain for souvenirs for Bill the Bastard.”
Claudia and her team will be in and out of the shop over the next month as they prepare for the re opening.
In just 18 hours the Facebook page received 118 reactions with likes, love hearts and cuddles and 8 shares alongside 41 comments. The comments included, “Wow great news.” “Yay, I can’t wait. “ “How exciting so glad ur feeling better.” “Yeah best news I miss the snack packs.” “Awesome xxxxxxooooo”
Twin Town Pizza has become an institution for local residents and many passing travellers over the last 35 years. It won’t be long before it is back.
The shop has been closed since November 21, however, the plan was always to reopen after a break.
