Unbelievable, first week back and go 4/8 which by the way brings Col’s Season Record to 10-6 which whilst not great, is serviceable. Now here’s my tips for this week and let’s see if we can build on that.

Game One: Panthers vs Storm. Col’s Tip, Panthers by 2.

I said this last week about the Raiders vs Sharks game and though it didn’t pan out, I’m sticking true to my guns this week. I love a good revenge game and the Panthers are seeking that here against a weakened storm. The Storm looked poor last week against Parramatta and though usually tipping two bellyache losses in a row is career suicide, that’s a stance I’m willing to fight for. Tthe Storm are learning for like after Cam Smith and whilst I do believe they’ll inevitably win the comp, Penrith are playing for too much to let this game out of their grasp.

Game Two: Dragons vs Sea Eagles. Col’s Tip, Dragons by 10.

You know what, I love what Anthony Griffin is moulding this young St George side into and yes I still think they’ll get the spoon but he has got Ben Hunt playing awesome in a small sample size and of course the electric Matt Dufty playing out of his boots! I’ve decided to write positive this week and to do so I’ll be unable to comment on the state of the Manly Sea Eagles who if you read last week’s paper, I said would be making the biggest mistake in team history by signing Des Hasler to an extension, and they proceed to do it. Time will tell who knows more? Vorren from Harden or the Manly board, but have you ever known me to be wrong?

Game Three: Rabbitohs vs Roosters. Col’s Tip, Roosters by 1.

What a game lady footballs set up for us on Friday night. The oldest rivalry in the best sport in the world and whilst both teams look fantastic I might add, can’t wait to see this one and whilst it will be as wet as a camels kiss, I still think both these teams can put on an absolute football clinic for us. Now if Bunnies get the upset in this one I will not be shocked, they looked fit even in the loss against Melbourne and looked great last week in a convincing win, but the Roosters attack has been so hot I’ve got 3rd degree burns talking about it and I refuse to tip against a team that on fire right now.

Game Four: Raiders vs Warriors. Col’s Tip, Raiders by a dozen.

It gets old saying teams by numbers so let’s spice it up aye, I mean of course a dozen is still technically a number but it’s got a little more sparkle to it if you know what I mean. Anyways you’ll notice I’m rambling on about nothing really and it’s not just because I get paid by the word, in reality it’s because this game is boring as the funeral of that one relative you never knew, like yeah it’s on and I’ll watch it because I know I have to write about it, but at same time there’s paint drying on the other wall. But yeah to be quick, the Raiders talent kills the Warriors and even Brown’s boys won’t be able to stop Rickys Raiders.

Game Five: Broncos vs Bulldogs. Col’s Tip, Doggies by a landslide.

Canterbury have started poor but look at the sides they’ve played. Penrith and Newcastle are two tough games and now they get given a freebie. But they better not screw this up because freebie or not, this Brisbane team still has 17 professional footy players determined to prove to blokes that they can play, and you know what? good luck to em but I can see it happening so doggies by about 24.

Game Six: Eels vs Sharks. Col’s Tip, Sharks by 4.

Parramatta oh how you surprise me. What a win last week, heavy underdogs but they came in and played well and got the two points. But I’ll be damned if it happens this week, Morris needs a win. The Sharks need a win and if it wasn’t for the fact that Chad Townsend couldn’t hit the side of a barn last week then the Sharks would’ve taken down the Raiders, I like this Sharkies forward pack and think it may give the Parra side a bit of a shock early, and they’ll ultimately win the game.

Game Seven: Knights vs Tigers. Col’s Tip, Knights 13+

Not really too much to say about this one, should be a decent game but the tigers haven’t showed me anything this year to tip them unlike Newcastle who’ve been good and until the tigers show me some sign that they can turn it around, I’ll refuse to tip them.

Game Eight. Cowboys vs Titans. Col’s Tip, Titans by 6.

What about the piggy bank last week? of course I’m talking about the 1.25million dollar recruit David Fifita, got two tries last week and was absolutely brilliant in the Titans win over the Broncos. As for the Cowboys though I think coach Todd Payten is awesome and there’s no denying they’ve got an overload of talent they haven’t scored a bloody point this season. Whilst I think that’ll change against the Titans I’ll refuse to tip them here.

Well, what a week of games we have coming up I’m very excited to see all of these games take place should be some classy games this week, hopefully next week I can celebrate going 8/8 but until next week, Stay Safe and Enjoy your weekend and remember your always gambling responsibly when your gambling on Col Vorren.
