A fatality occurred on the Hume Highway near Jugiong on Saturday the 17th of October at 2:30 am.

Police were called to the scene where a 39 year old male pedestrian had been struck by a truck on the northbound lanes and was subsequently instantly killed by the impact.  Initial investigation shows that the truck driver is not at fault. He assisted Police with inquiries and underwent mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

Police are continuing investigations and preparing reports for the coroner. Members of the public have been asked to supply dashcam footage, if relevant to the authorities.  Please contact local Police or Crime Stoppers. 1800 333 000
