Well the June Long Weekend is close to its conclusion. Again this year, like in many years past, fireworks were let off in a number of townships in the local area.
We would like to hear from our readers what they think about fireworks being let off over this weekend. Some of our older readers may remember when it was perfectly legal to do so and that they were let go home from school early to prepare their bonfires and fireworks.
Fireworks when let off in residential areas can cause distress to animals including cats, dogs and horse. What do you think?
Would a town fireworks display run by Council be in order for the June long weekend? Should residents be licensed and allowed to have their own fireworks on the Queens birthday?
Let us know what you think. Comments may appear in our fireworks story.
