British documentary filmmakers of the much loved natural wildlife show Meerkat Manners, will be making their way to Hilltops Council Offices in Young for the filming of their 5th season. It is understood the season will focus on the ongoing disputes between two warring factions within the family group. The new series strays from previous season which showcased how the groups acted communally for the benefit of the groups which lived within the dens in Africa.
The Australian version will make use of the rabbit warren style layout of the building as well as focus on a number of key players including the tyrannical and ill-equipped leader, the confused senior and the upstart teenager among a number of key characters.
Because many days are filled with behaviour related to grooming and foraging, these routines will often be left out of the show in favour of more unusual events including, where several Meerkats are put on trial and falsely accused of crimes against the ‘manners.’
Tune in to watch Hilltops Manner on SBS Viceland, after re runs of the
X-Files at 9:30pm on week nights commencing on April 1.
This is a satirical story which is unlikely true.
