Harden Kennel club hosted the Dogs NSW Southern Region RFS fundraising show on Sunday 22 December 2019, at the dog grounds at Murrumburrah showground.
The show attracted 549 entries, one of those being an entry in the Veterans Sweepstakes for a Samoyed CH. ZHAVAKA ARTIC SNOWMAN who was born in 1981, (oldest deceased dog in the sweepstakes) it was wonderful for the owner of the dog to again see his name in a show catalogue, as a result of him being the oldest dog entered his owner was given a lovely rosette with his name printed on it.
There were many donations to the cause with the 8 Judges and Stewards and show officials donating their time and travel to Harden. The Showground Trust donated their ground fees, Dogs NSW donated their show levy, all ribbons and prizes were also donated. There were 2 raffles available with one being a huge Christmas hamper including a full leg of ham and dog toys and essentials as well as a silent auction on products, vouchers, accommodation vouchers, homemade Christmas cakes and household items.
The Harden Kennel Club were very honored that local member Steph Cooke was able to attend as well as some of our young Cadets and their manager to accept the Donation.
At the end of the day the Show was very proud to have raised $8558.00 which was donated to the Southwest Slopes Zone of the RFS Cadets. HKC
