Hilltops Councillors met At Boorowa at 4:00 pm yesterday for an extraordinary meeting where Council appointed a General Manager from its existing executive team, to fill the role left by the premature departure of Dr Edwina Marks.
The position was filled in a meeting lasting just 15 minutes. The role will be job shared by executive staff until a new General Manager is selected in the new year.
The November meeting which commenced at 5pm saw a vote of No Confidence moved in Hilltops Mayor Brian Ingram, by Councillor Marg Roles and seconded by Councillor Matthew Stadtmiller. They were supported by Councillors Manchester, O’Connor and Tuckerman, which was successful.
Those who voted against the motion and supported the Mayor, included Councillors Horton, Armstrong, Walker and Flanery.
Councillor Wallace was not present at the meeting and had applied for a leave of absence from the November and December meetings.
Mayor Ingram can continue in his role as Mayor.
