MHS students attended the Cootamundra Show with some of our cattle for showing. Results were tremendous with our school winning many ribbons and taking out first place overall for all the schools that entered, all of them being bigger than us. In fact, Murrumburrah High School outscored Yanco Agricultural High School in the final tally. A very big thank you again to Mrs Jan Young for your continued professional efforts with our students, we all appreciate the huge amount of time you give up to provide this access for our students. Whilst the students were at the show Elden Rowen, Jordan Phelan and myself drove over to Illabo for the annual Lamb Dinner and presentation night. The dinner is held following the Annual Illabo Show which is supported by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. MHS again took out many awards and ribbons for our lamb entries. It was a wonderful lamb dinner and a great relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to the boys for looking the part and accepting the awards on behalf of the school. I hope you shared that caramel cake Jordan and did not eat it all yourself! MHS
