Bunyip noticed that there was a call for donations to Ronald McDonald House and were more than happy to help. It became a project for the children in the Joeys Room. The children had the task of collecting goods from IGA and packed the boxes with goodies of their choice.

IGA Harden kindly donated vouchers and the children went on excursions in October to choose what they wanted from the supermarket to pack into the boxes. The children learnt the difference between perishable and non perishable items on their excursion.

Preschool Director Heather Gammon said “It was pretty funny, the children wanted to send them ice blocks and freezer items, before learning the difference. ” The children at Bunyip had all of their needs in mind, even to add tinsel and baubles.

Which staff at Bunyip had thought were in there by mistake, before realising that the children had thoughtfully put it in there for the Christmas tree at Ronald McDonald House. All the team at Ronald McDonald House really appreciate the kind donation of goods that help make each persons visit a little easier. Heather said “It was amazing, everyone came out to greet us and listen to the story of how the children collected the items, it was very nice
