Judy in her role as treasurer is welcoming sponsors for the upcoming race meet to be held on Oct 26.
The Harden Picnic Races is nearly upon us and there are just a few opportunities left to sponsor Harden’s biggest social event this year.
A number of the major races have already attracted sponsorship, however, a couple still remain where local and regional businesses can go in the draw to be joint naming rights sponsors.
Cox Plate Day is set down for October 26 and it will again coincide with The Harden Picnic Races which enters its 39th year.
The Racecourse Users group will commence construction of their newly designed and approved amenities building which will cater for highly successful events including the Harden Rodeo, Harden Polocrosse Carnival, Harden Kite Festival and the Harden Picnic Races among other events.
The funding was secured from the Stronger Country Communities Fund.
Club Treasurer Judy Stewart said, “We hope to go bigger and better for our 40th but we have to sit down and talk about it. We hope we will have the new building ready for next year’s races. We can start by November this year so we have it for next year. We will need tables and chairs and furnishings when it’s finished.”
