Emerson Mann-Rea has been achieving some fantastic results in public speaking lately. Earlier in August she competed in the Western Region Inter-school Public Speaking Semi-finals where she won her Yr 3 division.

This progressed her onto the Western Region Public Speaking Finals in Cootamundra on Monday, 9th September, where she then made it through to the Archdiocesan Public Speaking Championships that were held at Boorowa on Friday 20th September. Emerson won the Year 3 division at the championships. In Emerson’s division she presented her two minute speech along with six other students from other schools in the region. T

he topic was ‘Best Friends’, Emerson spoke about rules of being best friends. Emerson said “I thought I spoke very well. I thought I had a chance, then again there were other really good speakers.” When asked how she felt after winning she said “I was really excited, I’ve never got this far in anything.”
