Scott Spackman continues to claim win after win with his stable, with the Wagga trainer picking up 2 wins at Grenfell on Saturday before backing up at Leeton on Monday with a win and a 2nd placing. At Grenfell, last year’s Harden Pincic Cup Champion Cryfowl was too good for 8 other runners to get home by 1.3 lengths. Jockey Bryan Murphy rode both winners for Spackman and was aboard Takissacod in the 1400m maiden, winning by the shortest of margins in 0.01 lengths. At Leeton Tocatchacod was unlucky not to win the 1150m class 2, Narrowly beaten by Smart Style by just 0.26 lengths. Blazen Diamond continues to impress and took out the Benchmark 58 1600m race at Leeton. ‘Blazen’ proved too strong for the 9 horse field winning by 1.59 lengths.
