The South West Slopes Stud Merino Field Day is nearly upon us, with hundreds of people expected to descend on the Murrumburrah Showground at 10am, Tuesday September 3.

The South West Slopes Stud Merino Breeders Annual Field Day provides a day full of interest and enjoyment for sheep breeders and visitors alike with a wide range of Merino sheep genetics on show. The Stud displays are under the cover of marquees in an ideal venue for this time of year.

The event has become one of the largest gatherings of merino studs in Australia, with 58 studs displaying sheep, all in one place on the same day.

Many thanks to the major sponsor Landmark and to all the sponsors and supporters.

Secretary Kylie Baluch has been an integral organiser and the committee work hard to provide a premium event.

Records continue to be broken for merino wool, mutton and lamb despite poor seasonal conditions across most of Eastern Australia.

The field day is a great opportunity for producers and interested parties to view the different genetics available to suit their enterprise. Also on display will be agricultural equipment and industry representatives along with an impressive fashion parade which includes the AWI runway collection and other progressive and innovative woollen fashion labels.

The South West Slopes Merino Field Day is a day not to be missed by anyone in the merino industry and we look forward to seeing you there.
