Murrumburrah High School student Hayley Chesworth will spend 12 months on exchange in North America after she was accepted into the Rotary exchange Program for 2020.

Hayley said, “I’m so happy and excited, I didn’t know a lot about Rotary when I first applied  for the Exchange Program, but the more I learnt the more I wanted to be involved.”

The Rotary Program has been running for about 40 years and offers young people the chance to live and study overseas. During the exchange, students will learn a lot about themselves, the culture of their adopted host families and the diversity of their host country.

Hayley’s father Scott said, “It’s a great opportunity, you can’t buy that sort of experience.”

Hayley has shown plenty of leadership in her schooling and was a member of the leadership team when at Murrumburrah Public School in 2015 and is active in the community playing touch football and soccer.
