Courtney Jones has won the Pony Club NSW Volunteer of the Year for 2019 for Zone 2.

She said, “I must have been nominated at Zone level, I’m not sure who was behind it.”

Courtney has been involved with Pony Club nearly all of her life and started as a kid at about 4 or 5 years of age, following her brothers in to the sport.

Courtney’s mother Janet and father Terry, have also been involved for decades with the club and the passion has continued on with Courtney.

Courtney has two daughters currently riding  and it won’t be long until another Jones joins the ranks at the club.

The Pony Club held their one day event on Sunday with Zone 2  President Antonia Brown presenting Courtney with the award.

“It was a lovely surprise, I’m just giving back to the club what it’s given me over the years and doing it for the kids what my parents did for me.”

Courtney is very well respected in the club and the region. She imparts her knowledge and is dedicated to the sport.
