Fours Championship
The Club Fours Championship is heading toward a finish with the playing of a Quarter Final last Sunday and the result of that match was as follows.
Chris Hocking, Warren Chesworth, Tony Zervos and Ged Davis defeated Tom Apps, Alan Tobin, Rueben Rycroft and Kyle Murray (Sub) 18/15.
A good match with all bowlers playing well. Chris and his team got to the front early in the match and maintained their lead up until the nineteenth end, where Tom and his team had caught up to level the score at 15/15 with two ends to play. Despite their effort to run Chris and his team down and level the score, Chris and his team won the remaining two ends picking three shots for a narrow win. Chris and his team will now play Matt Piesley, John Curtis, Danny Vincent and Maurice Muller in the Semi Final on Sunday. The winners will play Terry Ricketts, John Peterson, Barney Heywood and Warwick Prosser in the Final the following Sunday.
