In March of this year Beau Abnett was selected to participate in a cross country athletics tour over in America later this year. Beau will depart for the tour on the 25th of September from Sydney airport where he will commence his once in a life time journey to the states.
During the tour Beau’s time will be slipt between competing against other talented individuals and sightseeing. Beau, along with his Aussie Squad will get to experience wonders such as the Grand Canyon and Disneyland before competing. Beau is due to return home on the 10th of October.
A generous donation was given by an anonymous individual to help Beau’s dream become real, both Beau and his family would like to take this chance to formally recognise and thank whoever this individual was in our community as well as the many others who have already bought raffle tickets and supported Beau in his fundraising efforts.
Beau also wishes to make a special thanks to the Harden District Education Foundation for their ongoing support during this time. He is currently selling bags of fire kindling for five dollars each around our community, with delivery available to locals. Orders for kindling can be placed by calling 0457299263 or 0448426548.
Over the next four weeks Beau will also be selling raffle tickets through Murrumburrah High School for a load of fire wood that has also been generously donated. These tickets will be available around town at local businesses as well as by phone order. Tickets will be $2 each or you can purchase three tickets for $5.
