Last Saturday saw the inaugural Trivia night held by the local CWA in their building in Neill Street. Around 90 eager participants gathered for an evening of fun and laughter and they were not disappointed. MC Ken Donoghue kept everyone on their toes with the questions and sometimes off beat clues to the answers. A table of teachers took out the first prize which consisted of generous vouchers from local businesses.
The table which came in last was also rewarded with a pick of the generous prizes for each participant. So if you didn’t come first you may as well be last!! Five assorted soups and buns were provided as sustenance for the trivia night by the CWA ladies followed by tea, coffee and slices. It has to be said that a great night was had by all as it started at 6pm and over by 9.30pm just in time to beat the ice on our cars for the drive home.
The ladies would like to thank their very generous sponsors for this event including Athair, Cooper’s Choice Cut Butchery, Dj’s on Neill, South West Fuel, the CWA members, Judy Shea for the loan of her PA system and everyone who attended. Maybe another trivia night next year ladies??
