Leigh Butt and Jenny Polimeni will be joining the dance duos for Harden Can Assist’s ‘Dancing with the Locals’ in August.

Jenny is excited at the prospect of dancing with the very musical Leigh and the fact the money they will raise will stay in our community. She said, “It supports families in Jugiong aswell.”

Leigh and Jenny are both integral parts of the Jugiong community and have been busy learning their routine. They are now at the stage where the finishing touches are applied.

Being asked to be involved is an honour for the dancing duo.

Can Assist has supported Jugiong and Harden Murrumburrah families who have to deal with the very unfortunate and difficult challenges a cancer diagnosis and treatment can bring.

Leigh said he has done some performing in the past as a singer but he is looking forward to the challenge.

The couples  taking part in ‘Dancing with the Locals’ are judged how much money they raise and how well they dance. You can support your favourite couple by making a donation at the respective business supporting them.

Dancing with the Locals will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17. Tickets – Cooper’s Choice Cut Butchery from July.

Tickets for the Saturday night are exhausted, due to each dancer being allocated a table of 10 and others who jumped in early. However the Friday night has plenty of tables available, and if you can’t get a group of 10

together, that isn’t a problem – we will accommodate.

Tickets are $30 per person to be paid for at the time of booking from 2nd July at Cooper’s Butchery. Bring your own basket supper, however there will be a bar operating on both nights so please NO BYOG. The

fabulous Bear Fax will be providing great music to dance the night away.

The Dancers are all having various fundraising events and raffles along with their own individual donation tins around town. Please support them where you can. The dancers and where their donation tins are:
