Boorowa’s Murray Armour in what looks like an attempt at dislodging Zac Allen’s head from his neck. No not really, it looks worse than it was and both men moved on, Harden received a penalty. Armour led the way for Boorowa against Harden in a very physical clash.
The Harden Hawks traveled to Boorowa on Saturday afternoon with the first match between Yass and Harden proving to be a one sided affair. The Yass side piled on the points in the first half and shot to an insurmountable lead. Harden rallied in the second half and were able to stem the flow of points.
The lads succumbing to a final scoreline of 34-8.
The Hawkettes took to the field and after a close match against Crookwell last week our Hawkettes were hoping for a good win over Boorowa. The match was close in the first 20 minutes and the Roverettes kept the pressure up to the Harden ladies.
Harden went on with it in the second half and finished the match with a 58-2 scoreline. Boorowa took advantage of a penalty and slotted a penalty goal to get on the board. Only the second team this year to score points against Harden.
The First Grade match started with a large number of errors from both sides and the Hawks had to regroup after some bruising defence from Boorowa. Harden returned the favour and managed to go on with it 28-16, however, Boorowa kept trying all day led by Murray Armour and Alex Stewart.
