Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC) is encouraging residents who use the Cootamundra Town Pool to purchase a Members swipe card for ease of entry into the Pool
The new entry gates and turnstile are currently being trialled with full operation commencing 1 July 2019. The swipe card is passed over a scanner on the gate to allow entry, without the need for patrons to carry cash.
The swipe cards are available from the Cootamundra Town Pool only and can be purchased with cash for periods ranging from 12 months, four months or ten visit entry from date of purchase. Single entries will still need to pay cash. Disabled and Aged Pensioners along with seniors, adults and children are catered for in the pricing scale.
Regular pool users PJ Clune and his uncle have found the new swipe card convenient.
“We don’t have to bring our wallets in, the staff are able to continue to undertake their tasks, without collecting entry fees,” PJ said.
The new entry system will provide pool usage data.
CGRC mayor Cr Abb McAlister said he was pleased the system was in place and encouraged Town Pool users in Cootamundra to purchase a members swipe card.
“The entry gates are a great addition to the Cootamundra Pool, the Pool Staff are able to continue to monitor swimming activities, Council will get valuable data and most importantly patrons will have access without the need to bring money each time they want to use the pool.
