Last Friday a number of our students from Trinity travelled to Temora to compete in the Western Region Athletics Carnival. We had 25 competitors at the carnival in our Trinity team. Arriving on a cold, bleak morning the children got ready for their first events and quickly warmed up. All students competed well in their selected events with a great deal of encouragement to each other and competitors from other schools. It was beautiful to witness the comradeship of our Trinity team and the sportsmanship they displayed towards other teams. Congratulations to all children for their wonderful efforts on the day with many children achieving personal best goals for themselves.

Special congratulations to Georgia Squire-Wilson on her achievements on the day. Georgia came 1st in the region for 100m, (Girls 12 years) 1st for 200m (Girls 12-13 years) and 1st for Long Jump (Girls 12-13 years). These achievements resulted in Georgia being named Senior Girl Champion for the Western Region. Special congratulations to Noah Tyrrell who came 1st in the region for 100m (Boys 8 years). Friends of Trinity school wish both Georgia and Noah all the very best of luck as they compete at the Archdiocesan Athletics Carnival to be held at the AIS Athletics Track and Field Arena in Canberra on Tuesday 21st August. A big thank you to our parents and friends who accompanied us to the carnival, supported us in our events and gave us the opportunity to be part of the Trinity Athletics Team.
